Noise Pollution in Sec-16 Rohini

Nature & Environment/Leave a Comment/December 22, 2014
Iam Abhishek Sanyal, staying in Rohini (H1-H2 Black) Sec-16 along with my father. This is to inform you about the nuisance and chaotic situation which we have to face dally in our locality. The area in which we stay has become a hub for noise pollution. The daily chorum lasts from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and sometimes even upto 9:30am in weekdays. This dividing road of H1 and H2 Sec-16 Rohini area is gradually getting filled up by psycho hankers and unsocial elements. Everyday the school cabs would come to pick up the children and the cab drivers would just keep on hanking continuously until the child comes near the cab, the parents being totally indifferent. We had personally requested the cab drivers in past to honk twice or thrice only but they would just not listen. The second session of car honking lasts from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The result is that their activities is being taken as an encouraging example by other vehicles which pass by our locality. Sometimes the noise pollution due to honking is so much, that it crosses about 30 ds in daytime. Moreover there are records of continuous honking during odd hours like 1:00 am to 2:00 am early in the morning. Our mental peace is getting disturbed and our lives have become worse than hell. My father is a BP and heart patient and I am myself a serious gastric patient. Sometimes I have to sleep late nights due to my disease. My Father is a patient of insomnia aho. So, the continuous honking at early hours of morning proves to be very much irritating and annoying to us. It is my belief that it may be annoying to other colony members as well. But they just behave as mute spectators, hopefully enjoying this type of nuisance. Besides hanking, there are often other sources of noise pollution in the colony such as loud music and drum beats on the roads.
Since we are educated citizens of India and cannot take the Law in our own hands, so it is requested that you may take some suitable action against this and investigate about the whole matter by some responsible police officers in plain dress. It is my earnest request to take some preventive measures against this issue. Please make each cab driver understand how much disturbing the continuous hanking is for us. The parents may please be requested to send their child before the cabs arrive and a clase watch may be kept on the colony activities from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Thanking You,
Yours Sincerely.
Abhishek Sangal

It is deeply disappointing to bring to attention that even after so many requests, the road in front of House number 3451, Block G in Ansal Sushant City Panipat is not being repaired. The road is in a poor state of repair. There are pits and ditches on the road everywhere. The condition of the road becomes all the worse during rains. Heavy loaded trucks are on the road 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dust is present at all times. It has been more than a year that the road was completely broken for putting the sewage pipes but since then the road has not been fixed.
Maintenance charges are being paid, but road is not being repaired. The construction of the road has also been approved, as informed, but no action has been taken yet.
All the roads of Ansal Sushant City, Panipat are being constructed but the construction of our road is being completely neglected.
Repair of the road is our main concern. Talking about other facilities too the guards never come on duty in daytime and also do not come regularly in the night. The street lights do not work. A few months ago, a thief also came to our house. We reported the incident but still no major action was taken.
It’s a kind request, please get the road repaired as soon as possible and provide us with some relief. Looking forward to a prompt response!
