I booked a flat in Casagrand Aria, Chennai, and canceled it after a month. I opted for LIC home loan based on Casagrand’s adviser that 90% loan will be disbursed. I paid the home loan processing fee and all the formalities were completed by LIC after I submitted all the documents. However, just before the disbursement, the LIC asked the builder to sign a third party agreement meant for 90% loan offers (Casagrand signed such agreements with other customers in the past) but the builder refused to sign the agreement and offered to write it on the company letterhead. The LIC refused to accept the letterhead and the loan was cancelled. I tried to contact the builder representatives multiple times and get this resolved but none of them bothered to help and I had to proceed with the cancelation of the booking.
I asked the builder to cancel the flat and return the entire payment made by me till date, as it was not my fault that the loan was canceled. I am trying to get my refund for past one month but every time I
get an automated email response saying there will be a deduction charge levied on me, despite no fault of mine.
